2Teach - 2Touch Project

The COVID-19 pandemic increased household trash in Europe, especially in partner nations. As is generally known, the COVID-19 epidemic has had a major impact on trash and household. The “I-stay-at-home-effect” impacted citizens' consumption habits during the pandemic and lockdowns in numerous nations. The COVID-19 pandemic has also increased single-use plastic usage, often for health and hygiene reasons. The global pandemic era's principal effects will continue to influence the world. For this reason, the project collaboration had the same global difficulties at the country level, which raised awareness of "waste management"s economic and circular needs.

Despite EU and national initiatives, waste is rising. The whole value chain and every family must work to decouple trash generation from economic growth. The Commission proposes harmonising separate waste collection systems and introducing a new range of sustainable services, product-as-service models, and digital solutions to improve quality of life, create new jobs, and increase knowledge and skills to support the circular economy transition in the EU and beyond.

The 2Teach - 2Touch Project will provide modular training modules to adults in partner nations since it will require the alignment and cooperation of all stakeholders at all levels—EU, national, regional, local, and worldwide. The 2Teach-2Touch Project aims to get individuals involved in waste management and circular economy by upskilling adults and helping them consider regional and local circularity requirements.
